A report from Bethel Fire and EMS on a structure fire at Plumtrees Heights, February 20, 2019:
“Around 9:30 last night, units were dispatched to the Plumtrees Heights condo complex for a structure fire in our first due district. Car 1 arrived on scene confirming a working fire in the garage, with fire extending to the unit.
“Engine 5 arrived on scene shortly after, and stretched the first hose line into the front door of the unit, with hopes of cutting off fire spread into the unit itself. This was successful, as fire was held to the garage area, and no fire spread to adjacent units. Units remained on scene overhauling, as well as knocking down hot spots. The cause is under investigation by the Bethel Fire Marshal’s office.
“Thank you to West Redding Volunteer Fire Department for covering our station with an engine and ambulance while we operated at this fire.”
