Statement from the Bethel Fire & EMS:

On the morning of July 2nd “the Bethel Fire Department was dispatched to the center of town for the report of an individual with their arm pinned by a car.

“Crews arrived on scene to find a motorist with their arm pinned between the front tire and fender when the vehicle became unstable.

“Rescue 1, Squad 5, and Ambulance 2 quickly responded, coordinated with Bethel PD, and extricated the patient who then went to the hospital for evaluation and care.

:”Crews were able to quickly remove the patient using the Hurst electric “jaws of life” tool in conjunction with the T and J Rescue Enterprises#TL9 stabilization and lifting tool (the item pictured in yellow). We appreciate the tools we are able to train and work with day in and day out… and these tools have been busy this year.”
