Los Angeles, CA — Authorities uncovered an extensive stash of narcotics and high-powered firearms during a sweeping multi-agency operation targeting a major drug distribution network in Southern California.
The coordinated effort involved the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Narcotics Bureau, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) – Los Angeles Division, and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, marking one of the region’s most significant seizures in recent months.
Large-Scale Investigation Across Two Counties
The operation unfolded after investigators developed intelligence pointing to a large-scale narcotics distributor operating throughout Los Angeles County and Ventura County. As part of the probe, teams executed multiple search warrants at numerous undisclosed locations spread across both counties.
According to officials, the searches were conducted simultaneously to prevent suspects from moving contraband or evading law enforcement. The effort represented months of surveillance, coordination, and interagency strategy designed to disrupt a high-volume drug supply network.
Major Drug Haul Discovered
Inside the targeted locations, authorities discovered an enormous quantity of illegal drugs, packaging materials, and other evidence linking the sites to organized narcotics trafficking.
Among the items seized were:
- 10 sealed bundles, each containing 10,000 M30 pills
- 263 kilograms of methamphetamine
- 19 kilograms of cocaine
- 1 kilogram of heroin
Investigators say the combined street value of these narcotics reaches into the millions of dollars, further underscoring the scale of the operation.
Cache of Dangerous Weapons Recovered
Alongside the narcotics, authorities uncovered a significant arsenal of illegal and fully loaded firearms. These weapons, officials noted, pose extreme risks to both law enforcement and the public when in criminal circulation.
Items seized included:
- Four loaded handguns
- Two loaded, fully automatic submachine pistols
- One loaded assault pistol
- One loaded 7.62-caliber assault rifle
- Assorted pistol and rifle magazines
- Assorted ammunition rounds
Agents also confiscated an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, believed to be proceeds from ongoing drug transactions.
Investigation Continues — No Arrest Details Released
Despite the magnitude of the items seized, authorities have not yet released details regarding any suspects detained or arrested in connection with the operation. Officials confirmed that the investigation remains active and ongoing, with several leads still being pursued.
Law enforcement agencies emphasized that additional arrests, charges, or seizures could follow as they continue uncovering the full scope of the network’s activities.
Officials Praise Interagency Collaboration
In a public statement, LASD officials highlighted the importance of multi-agency cooperation in tackling large-scale drug trafficking organizations.
“The close collaboration with our local, state, and federal partners reflects our continued commitment to protecting our communities and combating large-scale narcotics trafficking,” the department said.
Authorities reaffirmed their dedication to keeping dangerous substances and weapons off Southern California streets, emphasizing that operations like this are critical to public safety.
