Atlanta, GA – A 62-year-old woman died after a hit-and-run crash in northwest Atlanta on September 1, police said.
Crash Details
Officers responded to the intersection of Northside Parkway NW and Mount Paran Road NW just before 5:30 p.m. They found a Toyota Prius with three occupants:
- 23-year-old man
- 25-year-old man
- 62-year-old woman
All three were transported to a hospital, where the 62-year-old woman later died from her injuries, as reported by Atlanta News First.
Suspect and Vehicle
Investigators discovered an abandoned Hyundai Elantra at the scene. Preliminary reports indicate the Elantra was traveling west on Northside Parkway NW when the driver lost control and struck the Prius.
The alleged driver, 21-year-old Buck Rollins, later turned himself in. He faces charges including:
