Kissimmee, FL – A 22-year-old gym teacher in Florida has been arrested after admitting to sending inappropriate text messages and photos to a 13-year-old student, authorities said. The suspect, Yezmar Angeanis Ramos-Figueroa, taught physical education at Central Pointe Christian Academy in Kissimmee.
The arrest follows a tip from the student’s mother, who contacted authorities weeks earlier, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators confirmed that the student, who attends the school virtually, is a minor.
Felony Charges Filed
Ramos-Figueroa faces two felony charges:
- Distributing obscene material to a minor
- Transmitting harmful material to a minor
The teacher reportedly admitted to police that she had sent both texts and a photo to the student, which authorities described as inappropriate and criminal in nature.
Detention and Bond
She is currently being held at the Osceola County Jail with a $10,000 bond, according to jail records. No further details about the case have been released at this time, as per The Post.
