Boston, Massachusetts — A coordinated Boston Police operation in Roslindale on Monday led to the arrest of four suspects and the recovery of more than two kilograms of illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Investigation Focused on Roslindale Suspect Wanted on Outstanding Warrant
According to Boston Police, the investigation centered around Shyronn Johnson, 34, of Roslindale, who had an active warrant out of West Roxbury District Court for failing to register as a sex offender. Officers arrived in the vicinity of 24 Colgate Rd. to carry out multiple search warrants tied to the case.
Police say Johnson was spotted leaving the apartment building moments before the raid. As officers moved in to take him into custody, a physical struggle broke out. Officers eventually subdued him and placed him in handcuffs. During the search that followed, police recovered a plastic bag containing crack cocaine from his person.
Search Leads to Discovery of Additional Suspects Inside the Apartment
After Johnson’s arrest, officers proceeded into the apartment connected to the investigation. Inside, three more individuals were taken into custody:
- Nicole Bilunas, 43, of Brockton
- Hector Acevedo, 46, of Malden
- Wilgen Noble Brea, 44, of Roslindale
Inside the residence, investigators uncovered a substantial quantity of narcotics packaged for trafficking. The seized drugs included:
- 1,000 grams of methamphetamine
- 1,055 grams of pink cocaine
- 54 grams of cocaine
- 80 grams of fentanyl
Police described the recovered amounts as indicative of a high-level drug distribution operation with substances intended for further street-level distribution, as per the reports.
Serious Trafficking Charges Filed Against All Four Suspects
All four suspects now face multiple felony charges tied to the massive drug seizure. Police confirmed the following charges:
- Two counts of trafficking over 1,000 grams of a Class B substance — one count for the recovered methamphetamine and one for the cocaine.
- Johnson, Bilunas, and Acevedo face an additional charge of trafficking over 20 grams of a Class A substance due to the fentanyl recovered.
- Johnson and Bilunas were also charged with possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute after additional items were recovered that suggested active drug sales.
Authorities noted that the scope of drugs seized demonstrates a significant disruption to narcotics distribution networks operating within Roslindale and throughout the Greater Boston area.
Next Steps in the Case
All four suspects are expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court at a later date, according to police. The investigation remains active as detectives continue examining possible ties to larger trafficking organizations operating in the region.
Boston Police also encouraged community members to report suspicious activity, emphasizing that resident tips often play a critical role in dismantling drug operations that threaten neighborhood safety.
