Seattle, WA – Seattle police have arrested a seven-time convicted felon during a major drug bust in the Belltown neighborhood, uncovering large quantities of cocaine and a stolen firearm. Authorities executed a search warrant at the suspect’s apartment in the 2100 block of 2nd Avenue on Tuesday. The suspect was found carrying 9.2 grams of crack cocaine and $819 in cash, while the apartment search revealed an additional 684.7 grams of cocaine and a stolen handgun.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail on suspicion of selling narcotics and unlawful possession of a firearm. Officials have not formally charged the individual, and his identity is being withheld.

Residents of Belltown say the arrest underscores ongoing safety challenges in the area. Jessica, a local business owner for 20 years, noted that the suspect’s neighbors include vulnerable individuals such as a senior citizen on a fixed income and a single mother, emphasizing the disproportionate impact of drug-related crime.
“This is the second major occurrence in this beautiful historic building in the last two and a half years,” Jessica said, describing a block troubled since the COVID-19 pandemic.
She recounted witnessing multiple violent incidents, including two shootings within 72 hours during the past summer, and said tourists often react with fear.
Residents Call for Continued Action
Jessica praised the work of Seattle Police Department under current Mayor Bruce Harrell and expressed hope that incoming Mayor Katie Wilson will continue prioritizing community safety.
“Although I’m excited for our new mayor, I really want to make sure she keeps that momentum up to keep this neighborhood a safer place,” she said.

Neighbors highlighted the emotional toll of persistent crime. “I’ve witnessed three people die in the last 12 months, and to see things like that is incredibly traumatic,” Jessica said.
