Osceola County Deputies Capture Five Suspects in Violent Airbnb Break-In

Davenport, Florida – Authorities in Osceola County have announced the arrest of five individuals connected to a violent armed home invasion that took place at an Airbnb property earlier this month. The incident occurred on November 5 at a residence located on Leader Street in the Davenport area, sending shockwaves through the neighborhood and prompting an immediate multi-agency investigation.

Gunmen Storm Airbnb, Target Teen Victim

According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, a group of armed males forced their way into the Airbnb where several guests were staying. During the invasion, the intruders allegedly robbed a teenage girl, taking her phone and keys at gunpoint.

What followed escalated the situation dramatically: deputies reported that gunfire was exchanged between some of the suspects and individuals inside the home. The chaotic confrontation ended with both the suspects and several guests fleeing the scene, leaving behind extensive physical evidence of the violent encounter.

Crime Scene Littered With Bullet Casings and Damage

Responding deputies described the scene as highly disturbing. Inside the home, investigators recovered multiple pistol and rifle casings, suggesting that several firearms were used during the incident.
Bullet holes were found throughout the interior walls, and the rear sliding glass door was discovered shattered, indicating the level of force involved in the firefight.

Two Suspects Captured the Same Night

Law enforcement acted swiftly. That night, deputies arrested two suspects — Devante Joseph (21) and Markel Bailey (20) — in the surrounding area near the Airbnb. Both were taken into custody shortly after officers arrived on scene.

Multi-Agency Collaboration Leads to More Arrests

By Monday, the investigation expanded into Orange County. With assistance from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol, authorities located and arrested two additional suspects: Alvan Civil (22) and Jaiquan Hill (20).

A fifth suspect, identified as Ronnall Marayne (20), was taken into custody the following Tuesday, completing the sweep of arrests connected to the crime, as per ClickOrlando.

Victims Provided Key Leads

Sheriff’s officials noted that the victims inside the Airbnb were familiar with the suspects, at least to some degree. This information helped detectives follow leads more efficiently, ultimately aiding in the swift location and arrest of all five individuals.

Investigation Continues, No Further Suspects Expected

While the case remains under active investigation, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office stated that they do not believe any additional suspects were involved in the home invasion. Authorities are continuing to piece together the full timeline of events and are working to determine the motive behind the armed confrontation.

What Do You Think About This Case?

This shocking incident raises concerns about Airbnb safety, armed violence, and the increasing role of multi-agency cooperation in resolving dangerous situations.
