Moundsville, WV – A major drug raid on Diamond Street in Moundsville led to the arrest of seven individuals and the seizure of large quantities of crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, and U.S. currency, according to law enforcement officials.
The coordinated operation was carried out on Tuesday by multiple agencies working together as part of an ongoing effort to combat drug trafficking in Marshall County.
Two Search Warrants Executed Simultaneously
Authorities reported that two simultaneous search warrants were executed on Diamond Street, targeting suspected drug distribution locations. The operation resulted in the discovery of what officials described as “distribution amounts” of dangerous narcotics, including crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl, both of which are linked to a growing number of overdoses across the region.
Investigators also recovered a substantial amount of cash, believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales, according to the reports.
Seven Suspects Taken Into Custody
The Marshall County Drug Task Force, along with the Moundsville Police Department and the West Virginia State Police, confirmed the following individuals were arrested during the raid:
- Jacob White
- Robert Price
- Zachary Henry
- Kendra Gonchoff
- Charles Boggs
- Cathy Counts
- Coby Harmon
All seven suspects were taken into custody without incident and face a variety of drug-related charges. Officials said the charges will include possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, among others, though specific counts are still being finalized.
Sheriff Praises Multi-Agency Cooperation
Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty praised the successful outcome of the coordinated effort, emphasizing how vital collaboration between agencies is to public safety.
“This operation highlights the strength of our partnerships within the Marshall County Drug Task Force, the Moundsville Police Department, and the West Virginia State Police,” said Sheriff Dougherty. “Together, we can tackle the serious issue of drug distribution and work towards making our community safer.”
Authorities say Tuesday’s bust is part of a broader crackdown on drug trafficking networks that have been operating in and around Marshall County.
Investigators are continuing to trace the source of the seized narcotics and are working to identify other individuals who may be connected to the operation.
Investigation Ongoing
Officials confirmed that the investigation remains active, and additional arrests could be made as more evidence is processed. The Marshall County Drug Task Force urges residents to report suspicious behavior that may be linked to drug activity in their neighborhoods.
