Orlando, FL — The strongest cold front of the season is set to move through Central Florida late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures and the coolest air the region has felt so far this fall, according to local weather forecasts.
Cold Front Brings Light Showers and Cooler Air
Meteorologists say the cold front will sweep across Central Florida overnight, possibly producing a few light showers. However, these showers are expected to be brief and widely scattered, with minimal rainfall across most areas.
While rain chances will remain low, residents will definitely feel the change in the air once the front moves through. Thursday morning temperatures are forecast to dip into the widespread 50s, with daytime highs only reaching the low 70s under partly cloudy skies.
Halloween to Be the Coolest in Over a Decade
The cooler trend will continue into Halloween, making it the chilliest October 31st since 2012. Areas north of Orlando could see morning lows in the 40s, while neighborhoods to the south are expected to stay in the low 50s.
Despite the cool start, Halloween afternoon highs are expected to reach only the low to mid-70s, creating a crisp and comfortable atmosphere for outdoor events and trick-or-treating, as per ClickOrlando.
