Madera, CA — Authorities in Madera County arrested two men after a search warrant led deputies to a stash of illegal drugs, a firearm, and other evidence of alleged criminal activity. The operation took place on Thursday, resulting in the arrest of 30-year-old Ajejandro Herrera and 58-year-old Eddie Huerta.
Significant Drug Discovery in Hull Avenue Home
According to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence located on Hull Avenue. Inside the home, investigators found a significant amount of illegal narcotics packaged and apparently prepared for distribution.
Deputies reported seizing approximately:
- 332 grams of cocaine
- Heroin (amount not officially detailed)
- 14 grams of methamphetamine
- Drug packaging materials
- Cash believed to be connected to drug sales
The discovery suggests the location may have been used for ongoing drug trafficking activity in the community.
Loaded Gun and Ammunition Recovered
In addition to narcotics, deputies found a loaded firearm and ammunition, heightening the seriousness of the case. Authorities say the presence of a weapon alongside controlled substances significantly increases potential risks to deputies and neighbors.
Investigators believe the firearm was in the possession of Herrera, who is legally prohibited from possessing a gun due to prior incidents.
