Four Nabbed by Covington Authorities Following Drug and Burglary Investigation

Covington, TN – Covington Police arrested four individuals Monday evening following a drug bust near Watkins Alley and Justin Cove, authorities confirmed. The suspects face multiple charges, including possession of controlled substances, burglary, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Suspects and Charges

The arrested individuals are:

  • Eddie Brent, 32
  • Rollin Stark, 46
  • Kristina Latham, 46
  • Naomi Stark, 26

They have been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule II drugs
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Burglary
  • Possession of burglary tools
  • Possession of a legend drug without a prescription

All four suspects are currently being held at the Tipton County Jail on a $35,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, as per WREG.

Details of the Arrest

Police responded to a suspicious persons complaint around 6 p.m. on October 20. Officers found a blue Ford Edge SUV parked in front of an abandoned building with the four suspects standing nearby.

A search of the vehicle, assisted by a K9, revealed several narcotics and drug paraphernalia:

  • Two straws with powdery residue and a pipe with wax in a purse belonging to Naomi Stark
  • Freshly cut copper tubing with cable cutters found in the SUV’s trunk
  • On Eddie Brent, officers found a glass pipe with white residue
  • Kristina Latham had 2.2 grams of crystal meth, 0.3 grams of marijuana, and three rolling papers
  • Rollin Stark possessed a glass pipe, 2.3 grams of crystal meth, a vape pen, and Amoxicillin pills without a prescription

The SUV was seized as part of the investigation.

Police Response and Community Efforts

Chief Donna Turner noted that the area is known for similar criminal activity. She emphasized that the department is working with the Codes Department to notify property owners and clean up vacant buildings and blighted properties.

Chief Turner added: “We are committed to responding and assisting when the residents make us aware of continuing issues in their neighborhoods.”
