Batesville, Mississippi – T.J. Maxx, the popular off-price retail chain, is expanding its footprint in Mississippi with two new store openings scheduled for October and November 2025, according to the company’s official website.
The expansion comes as part of a broader growth plan by TJX Companies, T.J. Maxx’s parent organization, which aims to open over 1,300 new locations globally, as per USA Today.
Two New Mississippi Locations
Shoppers in Mississippi will soon have two new destinations for affordable fashion, home goods, and more. The new store locations include:
- October 19: 192 Covenant Drive, Batesville, Mississippi
- November 6: 6384 Ridgewood Court, Jackson, Mississippi
These openings will give residents easier access to T.J. Maxx’s signature mix of discounted apparel, beauty products, home decor, and seasonal items — including everything from Halloween decorations to pet toys.
Part of a Larger Expansion
The move aligns with Ernie Herrman, CEO of TJX Companies, who announced in May 2024 an ambitious plan to open 1,300 additional stores worldwide across the company’s brands, including Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra, and HomeSense.
According to TJX’s second-quarter earnings report, the company already owns and operates 1,340 T.J. Maxx locations in nine countries across three continents, showing strong growth and global reach since its founding in 1976.
Herrman emphasized that the company’s “off-price retail model” continues to resonate with consumers looking for brand-name goods at value prices, particularly during times of rising costs and economic uncertainty.
The openings are expected to bring new job opportunities to both Batesville and Jackson, contributing to local economic growth. Residents can look forward to grand opening events, which typically feature special discounts and giveaways to celebrate the launch of each new store.
As T.J. Maxx continues to expand across the U.S., the company remains focused on offering high-quality merchandise at prices well below those found in traditional department stores.
