Lake City, Florida – A bizarre early-morning incident unfolded in Lake City, Florida, when a nude man allegedly chased employees in a Walmart parking lot before running into nearby woods, according to the Lake City Police Department (LCPD).
Details of the Incident
The incident took place on October 8, 2025, at around 2:45 a.m., at the Walmart on U.S. Highway 90 in Lake City — a town located about 60 miles west of Jacksonville.
Police were called to the scene after reports of a “suspicious person acting erratically” in the parking area. When officers arrived, they were told the man, described as “completely nude,” had been chasing employees before fleeing into a wooded area north of the store.
Police Response and Arrest
According to the LCPD press release, officers searched the area and eventually found the suspect on his hands and knees in the woods. The man appeared agitated and paranoid and was largely nonverbal and incoherent when officers tried to communicate.
For his safety, officers contacted paramedics and placed him in hand restraints. As per the reports, he was then taken from the wooded area and transported by emergency medical services to Lake City Medical Center for evaluation.
Identification and Charges
At the hospital, the man initially identified himself as “Raheem” but was unable to provide further details. A Rapid ID fingerprint scan at the Columbia County Detention Facility later confirmed his true identity as Rakime Triondre Johnson, age 30.
Court records show that Johnson has been charged with exposure of sexual organs and resisting an officer without violence.
Legal Proceedings and Current Status
According to Columbia County court records, Johnson is homeless and has applied for indigent status. He is scheduled for arraignment on October 14, 2025, in Columbia County Court.
