BROOKLYN, N.Y. – A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Monday morning after being found with a loaded 9mm handgun tucked inside his waistband at East Brooklyn High School on Kings Highway near East 96th Street in Flatbush, authorities said.

The firearm was spotted by another student, who immediately alerted teachers. School staff then called 911, leading to the swift recovery of the weapon and the teen being taken into custody at the scene. Charges are pending.
