Marlboro County, SC – A high-speed chase across county and state lines ended in a dramatic arrest and the discovery of a massive drug haul, according to the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
The Pursuit Across State Lines
Deputies reported that they attempted to stop Brolyn Henry in the McColl area of Marlboro County. Instead of pulling over, Henry sped away, sparking a pursuit that traveled through McColl and continued down Pea Bridge Road into Scotland County, North Carolina.
Authorities said the chase came to a sudden end when Henry crashed his vehicle. After the crash, he abandoned the car and fled into a wooded area, setting off a manhunt involving multiple law enforcement agencies from both South Carolina and North Carolina.
Manhunt and Arrest
The search intensified as officers coordinated across jurisdictions. The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office bloodhound team was brought in and successfully tracked Henry through the woods.
According to reports, there was a brief standoff when Henry was located. However, he eventually surrendered to authorities without further incident.
Major Drug Discovery
Investigators said that Henry’s vehicle contained 10 kilograms of cocaine, which authorities estimate has a street value of $680,000. The discovery turned the traffic stop and chase into a major drug bust with significant implications for the area.

Henry now faces multiple charges, including trafficking cocaine and failure to stop for blue lights. He remains in custody as investigators continue to examine the case and determine if additional charges will be filed.
