Lancaster County Drug Bust Fentanyl, Meth Seized, Suspects Arrested

Kershaw, SC — Several individuals were arrested last week during a drug raid in Lancaster County, law enforcement officials reported, while one suspect remains at large. Authorities said all five suspects are facing multiple drug-related charges.

Raid Details

The operation took place on Wednesday, September 24, at a home along Winterwood Road in Kershaw. The raid followed a controlled fentanyl purchase earlier in September from Billy Sanders, which allowed authorities to obtain a search warrant for his property.

When task force agents arrived to arrest Sanders, he reportedly fled from a car in the driveway and ran into nearby woods. Sanders remains wanted at this time.

Arrests Made

Four other suspects were taken into custody:

  • Christopher Whited, 39, driver of the car Sanders was in
  • Holly Faile, 39, passenger in the car
  • Christa McNeil, 32, found inside the home
  • Kantara Sowell, 30, also found inside the home

All four are facing serious drug-related charges, with bond amounts varying or denied.

Drugs and Paraphernalia Seized

Deputies reported confiscating drugs and related items from both the car and the home, including:

  • Xanax pills
  • Gabapentin
  • Clonazepam
  • Digital scales and smoking pipe
  • 8.2 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • 3.3 grams of suspected marijuana
  • 0.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • 30.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine

Charges by Suspect

  • Holly Faile – Bond denied; charged with trafficking fentanyl (4–14 grams), trafficking methamphetamine (28–100 grams), possession with intent to distribute alprazolam, and possession of gabapentin without a prescription
  • Christa McNeil – Bond $11,500 (not yet posted); charged with possession with intent to distribute multiple drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, alprazolam, and clonazepam, plus gabapentin without a prescription
  • Kantara Sowell – Bond posted $10,000; same charges as McNeil
  • Christopher Whited – Bond denied; charged with trafficking fentanyl (4–14 grams), trafficking methamphetamine (28–100 grams), and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine
  • Billy Sanders – Still wanted on multiple drug charges

Law Enforcement Statement

Authorities emphasized that the raid was part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Lancaster County. Deputies said they will continue investigating Sanders’ whereabouts and any additional connections to drug distribution networks in the area.
