Maplewood, MN – A 1-year-old boy was killed in a devastating rollover crash on Saturday evening, and authorities say alcohol may have been a factor. The crash has shaken the Maplewood community and left several others injured.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the incident occurred around 6:25 p.m. on the eastbound Highway 36 ramp leading to southbound Highway 61.
According to the crash report, a 28-year-old woman from St. Paul was driving a 2002 Chevy Tahoe at a high rate of speed when she appeared to lose control of the vehicle.
The SUV veered off the roadway, rolled into the right ditch of the ramp, and came to rest upside down, as per CBS News. The vehicle landed in 1 to 2 feet of water, making the situation even more dangerous for those trapped inside.
