Garland County Drug Raid Nets 51 Arrests and Seizures worth $800K

Little Rock, AR – A nearly year-long investigation in Garland County has resulted in the arrests of 51 individuals and the seizure of more than $800,000 in illegal drugs, as well as multiple firearms and cash, officials announced.

Operation “Boots on the Ground”

The operation, named “Boots on the Ground,” was carried out by the 18th Judicial District Drug Task Force over 11 months, beginning last October.

Garland County Prosecuting Attorney Michelle Lawrence said the operation was designed to target drug dealers and disrupt narcotics trafficking in the area.

Arrests and Seizures

Authorities confirmed that the investigation resulted in the arrest of 51 suspects, all facing charges related to drug trafficking and distribution. Officers seized a significant amount of illegal narcotics, firearms, and cash, totaling over $800,000 in value, as reported.

Prosecutor’s Statement

Lawrence emphasized the message this operation sends to criminals:

“We’re hopeful that individuals who are selling narcotics here in Garland County and people coming into Garland County selling narcotics will realize that we are going to arrest them, and we’re going to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. Our hope is that we can eradicate that.”

Next Steps

Once court proceedings for those arrested are complete, all seized drugs and firearms will be destroyed, officials said. Authorities also noted that the investigation reflects ongoing efforts to keep Garland County safe from illegal drugs and related crime.

Community members are encouraged to report suspicious activity and assist law enforcement in ongoing efforts to curb narcotics distribution.
