Indianapolis, IN – Larry Duerson has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a child in Lawrence in 2016, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. This comes after Duerson was previously charged in connection with two sexual assaults on the Monon Trail last month.
2016 Child Sexual Assault Charges
Prosecutors allege that in February 2016, a 13-year-old child was sexually assaulted in their bedroom by an individual identified as Duerson, who allegedly entered through a window wearing a ski mask.
DNA evidence collected at the time did not match Duerson until years later, after he was arrested for another crime. Filing of charges was also delayed due to difficulty contacting the victim.
Duerson now faces:
- Two counts of rape (Level 1 felony)
- Two counts of child molesting (Level 1 felony)
Monon Trail Charges
In relation to the Monon Trail incidents, Duerson is charged with:
- One count of attempted rape (Level 1 felony)
- One count of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury (Level 2 felony)
- Two counts of kidnapping (Level 3 felony)
- Two counts of strangulation (Level 6 felony)
- Two counts of battery resulting in serious bodily injury (Level 5 felony)
- Two counts of sexual battery (Level 6 felony)
- One count of intimidation (Level 6 felony)
