At approximately 1:22 a.m., deputies from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with Meridian Police, Boise Police, and Idaho State Police to track a fleeing 2008 Chevrolet Silverado originally reported from Canyon County. The chase momentarily paused within Meridian Police jurisdiction but reignited when the vehicle was located near West Joplin Road and West Chinden Boulevard in Boise.
In a strategic move, deputies deployed spike strips on West Chinden Boulevard, which successfully halted the Silverado near Pamela Baker Park. This critical intervention prevented further endangerment to the public and law enforcement officers.

Following the vehicle stop, the driver—identified as 33-year-old Shannon Levi—exited the Silverado and fled on foot. In a desperate attempt to evade capture, Levi jumped into the Boise River.
