Seminole County, FL – A husband and wife were arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a 25-year-old bicyclist in Seminole County on Saturday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The crash occurred around 9:46 p.m. on U.S. Highway 17-92, south of Spartan Drive. The bicyclist, a Winter Springs man, was traveling northbound in a marked bicycle lane when a vehicle entering the northbound lanes from State Road 414 struck him.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and the vehicle fled northbound on 17-92.

The following day, troopers located a 2016 BMW X6 believed to be involved in the crash.
On Wednesday, authorities announced the arrests of 37-year-old Christopher Canet and his wife, 39-year-old Belkis Rodriguez, who were booked into the Seminole County Jail.
