NEW CHESTER, Wis. – Six individuals were arrested earlier this month following the execution of search warrants by Adams County deputies, who acted on credible information regarding the possible use and distribution of controlled substances.
Search Warrants and Locations
According to a release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received the credible information on the morning of August 9. Within hours, they obtained search warrants for two locations in New Chester Township where they believed drugs were being used and distributed.
The search warrants were executed that afternoon at homes on the 2900 block of Brentwood Drive and the 2900 block of Crestwood Lane. Both homes were located in the Township of New Chester.
Seized Items and Additional Investigation
During the searches, deputies uncovered multiple controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. The ongoing investigation led to another search warrant on August 14, this time at a home on the 1000 block of Fern Avenue in the Township of Spring as per reports.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested or had charges referred to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office:
- Justine Doucette, 51, from Grand Marsh:
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Leighton Brazwell, 55, from Grand Marsh:
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Ashey Rizer, 38, from Oxford:
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Probation Hold
- Audrey Hill, 40, from Adams:
- Probation Hold
- Terrance Prutzman, 45, from Grand Marsh:
- Probation Hold
- Dean Best, 50, from Springville:
- Probation Hold
Court Appearances and Jail Status
On August 11, both Doucette and Brazwell had their initial court appearances and were released on $1,500 signature bonds. Best has also reportedly been released, while Rizer, Hill, and Prutzman remain in custody at the Adams County Jail.
