$750K in Meth, Mushrooms, and Marijuana Seized in Multi-Agency Drug Bust in Roswell

Roswell, GA – A multi-agency investigation has taken more than $750,000 worth of illegal drugs off the streets, leading to the arrest of two suspects and the discovery of an alleged methamphetamine conversion lab inside a Roswell apartment.

The operation involved the Roswell Police Department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Homeland Security Investigations.

How the Bust Unfolded

On August 2, investigators intercepted a package addressed to a resident of the Villas Del Mirasol apartment complex along Old Holcomb Bridge Way. Inside, they found 8 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine.

Authorities conducted surveillance on the apartment and, on August 7, executed a controlled delivery of the package. After observing the residents’ actions, detectives obtained a search warrant and moved in.

What Authorities Found

As per Fox5, police discovered the following inside the apartment –

  • Six additional bottles of liquid methamphetamine
  • Crystal methamphetamine
  • Cocaine
  • Drug packaging materials
  • Ledgers documenting transactions
  • Multiple cell phones
  • Digital scales
  • Over $10,000 in cash
  • Bottles of a chemical agent used to convert liquid meth into crystal form

Investigators believe the apartment was being used as a drug conversion lab, processing liquid meth into its crystal form for distribution.

Arrests and Charges

Mariel Galan-Arguello and Martin Domingo were detained at the scene and later booked into the Fulton County Jail. Both face charges of trafficking methamphetamine and trafficking cocaine.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police say additional arrests are possible.

Dangers of Methamphetamine Production

Methamphetamine production and conversion labs pose severe risks to both the individuals involved and the surrounding community. The chemicals used in the process are highly toxic and flammable, and exposure can cause respiratory issues, burns, and long-term health problems.

Law enforcement agencies stress that dismantling such operations not only disrupts drug trafficking but also prevents potential environmental and safety hazards.

Public Assistance

The Roswell Police Department is urging anyone with information to contact them at 770-640-4100 or submit anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
