Tip Leads to Livingston Parish Drug Raid, 33 Guns Seized with 5 Arrests

Livingston, LA – A major drug investigation in Livingston Parish has resulted in five arrests and the seizure of over 30 firearms, including two fully automatic weapons, authorities announced.

Investigation Begins with Community Tip

According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO), the case began when deputies received a tip alleging marijuana sales were taking place out of a unit at the Cooper Creek Apartments. The information identified 49-year-old Trevor Sibley as the alleged leader of the operation, and also named his wife and sister as potential participants.

When deputies executed a search warrant at the apartment, they discovered 27.5 grams of marijuana, four THC vape cartridges, and marijuana residue, according to WBRZ.

Expanded Search Uncovers Larger Operation

Investigators soon linked Sibley to another location on North Corbin Road in Walker, where he was allegedly operating as a main marijuana supplier. A search of that site yielded an additional 722 grams of marijuana, two more THC vape cartridges, drug packaging materials, $2,564 in cash, and 33 firearmstwo of which were fully automatic.

Sheriff Jason Ard emphasized that the weapons seizure was particularly significant, noting the potential public safety risk of automatic firearms in the wrong hands.

Arrested Individuals

In total, LPSO arrested the following suspects:

  • Trevor Sibley, 49
  • Jaci Fournet Sibley, 37
  • Tina Roshell Sibley, 54
  • Steven Payne, 55
  • Caleb Ball, 35

All suspects face various drug-related and weapons charges, with additional arrests possible as the investigation continues.

Community Reaction & Ongoing Efforts

“This is another example of how a single tip can lead to major results,” Ard said. “We remain committed to getting dangerous drugs and weapons out of our neighborhoods.”

Authorities say the bust is part of an ongoing push to dismantle illegal drug networks in Livingston Parish. Sheriff Ard thanked the public for its role in reporting suspicious activity and encouraged continued community cooperation.
