Centre County, PA – A tragic Christmas Day crash in Howard Township claimed the lives of three people, authorities confirmed. The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on December 25 on North Eagle Valley Road, just south of Swartz Hollow Road, according to the Centre County Coroner’s Office.

Victims Identified

The victims were identified as Diana Lyons, 37, Richard Harriott, 33, and a 10-year-old boy, all residents of Lock Haven. The cause of death for all three was ruled blunt force trauma, officials said.

Crash Details

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash involved a Pontiac carrying five occupants and a Nissan. Troopers said the vehicles collided head-on, resulting in the deaths of the Pontiac’s driver and two passengers at the scene.

Two additional passengers in the Pontiac were airlifted by medical helicopter to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissan was also transported to a hospital, though their condition has not been released.

Ongoing Investigation

The Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to contact the Rockview Barracks at 814-355-7545.
