Memphis, Tennessee – A Tennessee woman is facing an attempted first-degree murder charge after allegedly striking her ex-boyfriend with her SUV and repeatedly running him over as he tried to escape, according to the Memphis Police Department. The incident occurred on Saturday morning around 11:30 a.m. on the 500 block of Gilleas Road in Memphis.
The suspect, 39-year-old Tanieka Ray, is accused of intentionally targeting her former partner during the violent encounter, which left the victim in critical condition at a local hospital.

According to police reports, the victim initially slipped and fell in a neighbor’s yard after being struck by Ray’s SUV. The neighbor found the injured man propped against a fence and later brought him onto his porch for safety.

The neighbor identified Ray in a six-person lineup, leading to her arrest.
