Police were called to a residence near 7th Avenue and Loop 101 at approximately 1:10 p.m. after a woman flagged down officers, reporting that someone had been shot inside a home.
Upon entering the residence, officers discovered a man with at least one gunshot wound. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived and declared the victim deceased at the scene.
