Macomb County, MI – A Macomb County man is facing serious felony charges after allegedly committing a series of armed robberies earlier this month, according to local authorities. The suspect, Anthony Terrell Patterson, 47, of Clinton Township, is accused of targeting both employees and customers at a business in Eastpointe, prompting a swift law enforcement response.
Armed Robbery Incident on December 5
Officials report that the alleged incident took place on December 5 when Patterson entered a local business in Eastpointe. Authorities say he displayed a handgun and forced employees and customers to lie on the ground, creating a tense and dangerous situation.
During the alleged robbery, Patterson reportedly stole money from five employees and two customers. In addition to cash, he is accused of taking a driver’s license and debit card from one of the victims.
Suspect Apprehended
Following the incident, Patterson fled the scene but was later arrested by law enforcement. Authorities confirmed that he was taken into custody without further incident.
Charges Filed
On December 23, Patterson was arraigned and charged with multiple felonies, including:
- Seven counts of armed robbery
- Eight counts of felony firearm
- One count of carrying a concealed weapon
- One count of possessing a firearm as a prohibited person
After the arraignment, he was remanded into custody and is currently being held pending further court proceedings.
Upcoming Court Appearance
Patterson is scheduled to appear in court on January 6 for a probable cause conference, where a judge will review the evidence to determine if the case will proceed to trial.
