Rockford, IL – Authorities in Rockford, Illinois, arrested a suspected narcotics trafficker Wednesday after recovering a substantial cache of cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis, and firearms, officials said. The arrest comes after an ongoing investigation by the Rockford Police Narcotics Unit.
Investigation Leads to Arrest
28-year-old Joseph Krispin was taken into custody following a search of a home on the 3000 block of Marshall Street, according to Rockford police. The investigation into Krispin began earlier this year, focusing on alleged drug trafficking activity in the area.
During the search, officers reportedly recovered cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis, as well as a shotgun and rifle. Authorities noted that Krispin was already on pre-trial release for possession of a stolen firearm at the time of the arrest.
Charges Filed
Krispin now faces multiple charges, including:
- Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance
- Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine
- Unlawful use of weapons
- Violations of pre-trial release conditions
- Possession of a firearm without a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card
He has been booked into the Winnebago County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
