Harrison Township, Michigan – A late-night police pursuit on a busy stretch of interstate ended with four people in custody after authorities say a 22-year-old man from Warren allegedly fled from law enforcement while driving a stolen vehicle in Macomb County.
The incident unfolded just before midnight and prompted a coordinated response from multiple agencies, highlighting ongoing concerns about vehicle thefts and dangerous pursuits on Southeast Michigan roadways.
Late-Night Alert Triggers Multi-Agency Response
According to officials, at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the Michigan State Police alerted the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office about a suspected stolen car traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 near 12 Mile Road.
Authorities indicated that state police were actively tracking the vehicle as it moved through Macomb County, prompting sheriff’s deputies to respond quickly and position themselves along the freeway in an effort to intercept the suspect.
Deputies Attempt Traffic Stop on I-94
Deputies soon located the vehicle near eastbound I-94 and North River Road in Harrison Township. Law enforcement officials said deputies activated their emergency lights and sirens and attempted to conduct a routine traffic stop.
However, instead of pulling over, the driver allegedly refused to comply and accelerated, leading deputies to believe the suspect was attempting to evade arrest.
