Livermore Falls, ME – A major drug enforcement operation in Livermore Falls has resulted in the arrest of five individuals, including three from New York City, after authorities seized cocaine, crack cocaine, and a handgun, officials confirmed.
Large-Scale Investigation Leads to Arrests
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) revealed that its Western District Task Force had been investigating a suspected drug trafficking organization in Livermore Falls for several months. Tips from the community, combined with cooperation from local law enforcement, allowed investigators to pinpoint the primary trafficking location.
A search warrant was executed at 8 Monroe Street on Thursday, during which agents discovered:
- 64 grams of cocaine
- 143 grams of crack cocaine
- One handgun
The total street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $12,000.
Suspects and Charges
Authorities arrested the following individuals in connection with the operation:
- Messiah Jones, 21, of New York, NY, charged with aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs. He is being held at the Androscoggin County Jail on $10,000 bail.
- Tyquan Commsisso, 27, of New York, NY, charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, held on $15,000 bail.
- Tammie Stone, 46, of Livermore Falls, who had four active arrest warrants. She is currently in custody at the Androscoggin County Jail.
- Tanya Hill, 38, of Livermore Falls, charged with trafficking in Schedule W drugs, held on $10,000 bail.
- Tajuan Washington, 18, of New York, NY, also charged with trafficking in Schedule W drugs, held on $10,000 bail.
In addition, a vehicle associated with the Monroe Street residence was stopped, leading to the discovery of 102 grams of suspected cocaine.
Multi-Agency Collaboration
The Maine State Police, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, Livermore Falls Police Department, Jay Police Department, and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Maine DEA in the execution of the warrant and the arrests.
Authorities say the investigation into this drug trafficking network is ongoing, and additional arrests are expected in the coming weeks.
“This operation highlights the ongoing commitment of Maine law enforcement to disrupt drug trafficking and keep communities safe,” a Maine DEA spokesperson said.
