Calcasieu Parish, LA — Authorities in Southwest Louisiana have arrested three individuals after seizing over 85 pounds of methamphetamine from a parked vehicle, officials confirmed. The arrests were made following an investigation conducted by the Louisiana State Police (LSP) in partnership with the Calcasieu Parish Anti-Drug Task Force.
Suspects and Charges
The arrested individuals include:
- Brent Touchet, 48, of Lake Charles

The investigation began on December 2, when LSP and task force officers observed Touchet, a known drug trafficker in Calcasieu Parish, leaving a Lake Charles hotel with Robinson and Reeves. Reeves was stopped for traffic violations, and a probable cause search of his vehicle revealed incriminating evidence.
Authorities then obtained warrants to search the vehicle, as well as Touchet and Robinson’s hotel room.

During the searches, law enforcement recovered:
- Over 85 pounds of methamphetamine
- A handgun hidden in the trunk of Touchet’s vehicle
The drugs and firearm underscore the seriousness of the operation and the threat posed to the community.
