DAYTON, Ohio – A 37-year-old woman was killed in a tragic crash involving a FedEx semi-truck that veered off Interstate 75 on Sunday morning, flipping over a bridge and crashing near a highway exit.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. Sunday when the FedEx truck, heading northbound on I-75, went off the road near a curve, according to a Dayton Police Department spokesperson. The semi plunged down an embankment and crashed near the State Route 4 and Webster Street exit.
Multiple 911 callers alerted Montgomery County Regional Dispatch to the crash, describing the truck as having flipped off the highway and struck a bridge pillar.
“A FedEx truck just flipped over the bridge,” one caller reported.
“It went off the highway and hit a pillar,” another said.
Victims Identified and Medical Response
Emergency crews arrived to find a 37-year-old female passenger deceased at the scene. Her name has not yet been released pending family notification.
The driver, a 35-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have not released his identity at this time.
