Sandersville, GA – A 37-year-old man was taken into custody Thursday after authorities discovered a significant stash of methamphetamine and marijuana, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).
Drug Bust Details
The operation, conducted by WCSO, the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, and the Middle Georgia Gang Task Force, took place on Clement Street in Sandersville.
During the search, officers seized:
- One pound of methamphetamine
- A felony amount of marijuana
- An undisclosed amount of U.S. currency
- Scales
- A firearm
Arrest and Charges
As per WGXA, authorities arrested Jerroid Russell, 37, and charged him with:
- Trafficking in methamphetamine
- Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes
- Possession of drug-related objects
Officials emphasized the coordinated effort as part of ongoing measures to combat drug trafficking in Washington County.
