EL PASO, TX — A 31-year-old man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed multiple times early Sunday morning, Aug. 10, at Red Sands, a popular off-road recreation area in far East El Paso, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies Respond to Early Morning Attack

At about 2 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a reported stabbing incident at Red Sands. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from several stab wounds.

“Deputies secured the scene and provided life-saving first aid,” the Sheriff’s Office told KTSM.

The man was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. His current condition has not been released.

Suspect Still at Large

Authorities said the suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived and has not yet been identified. The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
