Orlando, FL – Two men were killed early Friday morning when a 2020 Lamborghini Huracan rear-ended a Ford F-550 truck on State Road 528 in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Crash Details
The fatal crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. on S.R. 528 east near Orangewood Boulevard, south of Orlando.
FHP troopers reported that the Lamborghini driver, 41-year-old man from Kissimmee, was traveling above the speed limit and failed to stop for the eastbound Ford F-550. The Lamborghini struck the rear of the truck, causing the fatal collision.
Victims and Injuries
The Lamborghini driver and his passenger, a 41-year-old man from Windermere, were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where both were pronounced dead.
The truck driver, 58, from Altamonte Springs, was uninjured and remained at the scene. According to the reports, all occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Road Closures and Investigation
The eastbound lanes of SR-528 were temporarily closed following the crash but were later reopened. Authorities have released no further details, and the investigation is ongoing.
