Wilton Police Need Your Help in Capturing Four Jewelry Store Robbery Suspects, $17K Stolen

Wilton Police are looking for four suspects, one man and three women, who were involved in a distraction larceny crime on Wednesday at the Campus Jewelers located at 5 River Rd Wilton, CT, and stole $17,000 worth of jewelry.

The suspects entered the jewelry store on October 18th at 2:30 p.m. and three female suspects distracted two salespersons by having them show them merchandise, while the male suspect stole jewelry from behind the counter and the jewelry display cases in another part of the store. There is surveillance footage that shows the male suspect sneaking behind a counter and stealing merchandise.

The suspects purchased an item with cash then left the store with $17,000 of stolen jewelry, police reported.

WILTON, Conn. — Wilton police are searching for four suspects who stole $17,000 worth of jewelry in a “distraction” larceny at Campus Jewelers in Wilton Center on Thursday.

At 2:30 p.m. four suspects — described as three white women and one white man — entered the store at 5 River Road, police said.

The three female suspects distracted the two salespersons by looking at items while the male suspect stole jewelry from behind the counter, police said. The man put the stolen items in a brown paper shopping bag that he was carrying, police said.

The suspects then purchased an item with cash, and all four left the store with the stolen jewelry, totaling $17,000, police said.
