Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company, Bethel Fire & EMS and Danbury FD Respond to 2-Car Roll-over with Entrapment on I-84

Last night around 11pm Stony Hill & Bethel Fire were dispatched to I-84 east for a report of 2 cars rolled over with entrapment and off the road.

Due to the severity of the report, S1 requested Danbury Fire Department – CT w/ their Rescue Assignment to assist as they are a close resource.

Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company Rescue 3 was clearing from an accident in their town near the Stony Hill border and was advised to respond as well, not knowing the full extent of the situation.

Upon arrival, we found a 2 car accident w/ one vehicle on its side with one victim entrapped.

All units worked together to stabilize the car with Res-Q-Jacks and then remove the victim through the windshield.

Stony Hill EMS transported the patient, who was in stable condition. Thanks to our mutual aid partners for the help.
