Stony Hill, Brookfield Fire Depts. and Other Fire Companies Responded to 2nd Alarm Structure Fire

At 10:30 this morning, Thursday, January 18, 2018, the Stony Hill Fire Department (SHFD) was dispatched mutual aid as a rapid intervention team to Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company for a 2nd alarm structure fire.

Rescue 2 responded and was put to work upon arrival. SHFD manpower assisted in roof ventilation, extinguishment and overhaul in the badly damaged structure.

Rescue 2 returned to service at approximately 1pm. Other mutual aid companies on scene included Newtown Hook & Ladder, Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Company #1, Water Witch Hose Co. #2 of New Milford and Danbury Fire Department – CT. The cause is under investigation at this time.
