About Stephen G. Harding Jr.

State Rep. Stephen Harding is proudly serving in his second term as the representative for the 107th General Assembly District covering Brookfield, as well as parts of Bethel and Danbury.
He is a member of the legislature’s committees on Finance, Revenue & Bonding and Judiciary. He was appointed to serve as the Ranking Member of the Environment Committee in the 2017 session.
After college, Harding pursued his law degree at New York Law School in Manhattan, where he was a member of the Criminal Justice Society and Trial Advocacy. After graduation from New York Law in 2012, Harding was admitted to the Connecticut Bar and currently practices as an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Dean L. Lewis.
Harding has served the town of Brookfield in various capacities. He has served as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and is currently a member of the Brookfield Board of Education. Harding is the Policy Subcommittee Chairman on the Board of Education and is the Board of Education representative to Brookfield Cares, an organization which addresses substance abuse and other mental health issues facing the town and surrounding community.
Harding has been a resident of Brookfield for more than 25 years, where he currently lives with his wife, Kelly, and attended Brookfield Public Schools from K-12. Upon graduation from Brookfield High he attended Albertus Magnus College, where he was a 4-year varsity baseball player and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2009. In youth sports, Harding volunteers as a baseball coach and is a current executive board member of the Brookfield Baseball and Softball Association.
He was elected to the state’s House of Representatives in February 2015 through a special election.
