Senator Chris Murphy Will Tour 8 Businesses in Danbury Today, Encourages Shoppers to Support ‘Small Business Saturday’

November 24, 2015 – Ahead of “Small Business Saturday,” Murphy will join New England Regional Administrator Seth Goodall of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, Executive Director of Danbury’s CityCenter P.J. Prunty, and representatives from the city’s Office of Economic Development, Chamber of Commerce, and Small Business Development Center for a small business tour of downtown Danbury’s CityCenter. Murphy and the officials will tour the Innovation Center – a common work space with 3D printers, prototyping tools, a mockup studio, and other business tools open for use by local entrepreneurs –and stop into eight locally-owned, small businesses along Main Street.

Murphy will encourage shoppers to “Shop Small” and support local businesses on “Small Business Saturday.”

WHEN:  Tuesday, November 24th at 2pm

WHERE:  Starting at: Danbury Hackerspace at the Innovation Center, 158 Main Street (attached to the Danbury Library), Danbury, CT

At 2:30pm: Stop in the following small businesses:

♦ At Home Care – 190 Main St.

♦ Antonia’s Beauty Salon – 192 Main St.

♦ Relvas Travel Center – 194 Main St.

♦ Bem Bonita Fashion – 240 Main St.

♦ City Center Danbury – 268 Main St.

♦ Faltom Jeweler – 207 Main St.

♦ Main Street Dental – 209 Main St.

♦ Benai Enterprises, Inc., – 155 Main St.
