Rep. Harding Pledges Support to Local Agricultural Industries

HARTFORD – State Rep. Steve Harding (R-107) of Danbury, and the suburban areas of Brookfield and Bethel, pledged today to spend 10% of his food & gardening dollars locally.

“I am glad I was able to offer my support to the proud representatives of our state’s agricultural industries today at CT Agricultural Day at the Capitol,” said Rep. Harding. “It’s incredible how much we could do for the state if everyone just dedicated 10% of their normal grocery and/or gardening funds to local producers. One way to help is by supporting our wineries and vineyards along the CT Wine Trail. For example, we have a hidden gem right here in Brookfield at DiGrazia Vineyards. Please check the CT Grown website for upcoming events, and see how you can give back to the small businesses of our community.”

For more information on pledging your support to locally-grown produce, please visit the buyCTgrown website. For more information about DiGrazia Vineyards, and where to follow the CT Wine Trail, please visit the CT Wine Trail website.
