The milling and resurfacing of a 5.1 mile stretch of I-84 east and westbound, between exits 3 and 8, began on April 19 and will continue through Friday, July 10, 2015 between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

In an effort to fix the damage done to state roads and bridges during the brutal winter months, the Connecticut DOT has recently announced another nighttime milling and paving project along I-84 in Danbury.

The milling and resurfacing of a 5.1 mile stretch of I-84 east and westbound, between exits 3 and 8, began on April 19 and will continue through Friday, July 10, 2015 between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

As usual, please plan for potential delays and detours and give yourself enough time to get through the area.

Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing, I-84 Eastbound and Westbound in Danbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-84 E/B & W/B in Danbury.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.1 mile segment of I-84.  This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 to the morning of Friday, July 10, 2015.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2015 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84, E/B & W/B between Exit 3 and Exit 8.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Monday – Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
