THOUGHT AND POEM

Written By Jeanne Claire Probst

Motherhood is not as easy as some people would think. A new mother will question her ability to provide for her child and often tries to do more than was done for her by her own mother.  But it is not until a child grows up and has children of their own do they realize the sacrifices their mothers made in their behalf and what it took to be their mother.

A child’s love is unconditional and a mother’s love endures all the challenges that come with raising children.  Whether we live in areas where we can provide more than the basic life’s necessities or in a country where children are carried on their mother’s backs as they work to provide for the daily needs of the family, a mother is a mother no matter what the circumstances may be, whether we are rich or poor and no matter which country or culture background we come from.

As mothers we strive to provide, teach and interact with our children and we will go to great lengths to protect them.  But above all else, love moves us to be the best mothers we can be despite daily challenges and tests of our beliefs and abilities.

What about you?  Did you find motherhood to be a challenge?  Share your thoughts with us…

MOTHERHOOD…

Written By Jeanne Claire Probst

Any women can have a baby it has been said

But not all women will pass the “motherhood” test.

This is a test that lets a woman know

If she will has what it takes to face motherhood with all she possesses and then this to her children show.

A mother doesn’t have to be rich,

Although she will insist,

To give from her heart…

And always… right from the very start.

And of all the gifts she may possess

Love will help her to endure the motherhood test…

Love will move her to endure…

Love will direct her when she is unsure…

Love will help her find ways…
To power through as a good mother always…

That leaves her with the strength to accept and cherish…

The children she bears and sees them as such precious and blessed gifts.

As the years go by a child may never truly understand

What challenges motherhood demands.
And they may not always appreciate

All their mother has done to date.

But it is a mother’s desire that her children will be inspired

To give back only the one thing all mother’s desire…

Love…such as the love she has poured out so that they could believe

They were precious and that they helped her to be all she could be as a mother from the moment they were conceived.
