I don’t know about you, but for me, having to wait for something I want to do NOW is hard on my nerves. You know what I mean?
Often we think of being impatient or having a temper tantrum to be associated with children…but the truth of the matter is…adults have them too! Guilty!
I have been planning my garden since I picked the last tomato off the stem in the fall before the first frost. I was sad to see that my relationship with the plants (my new friends) was coming to an end. I would have been willing to garden all fall and winter if I could have. I miss the smell of the rich soil and seeing the plants bud and flower and then produce according to their kinds.

I DON’T WANT TO WAIT!

I am not having a temper tantrum,
But I want spring to hurry up and come!
I want to plant my garden now as I do not have a minute to waste,
I don’t like all this fall, winter, snow and rain stuff, and I don’t like having to wait!
I know that in time, spring will be here soon enough,
Still waiting for spring is kind of tough even for a grown-up.
Having to wait all these months is getting on my nerves,
I want to plant my garden now, and put my seeds in the dirt!
They say there are “blessings” for those who wait,
So I will wait as long as I have to, but spring better not be late!
I love being able to be out in the sun, and watching my garden grow,
So the frustrations of having to wait, only another gardener would know.

The Fifteen Houses, a Novel
The Fifteen Houses is the first book of this new and exciting series to be published. Staged in the beautiful and scenic palate of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, in the early 1950’s, the main character delves into her reoccurring and discomforting memories of her younger, formative years. Searching for answers to questions that have resurfaced in her mind over and over again during her time away from her family, she seeks to find rhyme and reasons to her insecurities, anger, phobias, fears, and life’s choices. Julianne Marguerite, one of eleven children, is determined to uncover the “mystery” that resulted in the downfall of her family. As you turn the pages in the book, each series of memories, will open a different door, to the different homes, (“Fifteen” to be exact).
