‘Connecticut’s Comeback’: Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton is Exploring a Run for Statewide Office in 2018

Message from Mark Boughton:

Do you remember what Connecticut used to be?

Our state has some of the highest debt in the country. Under Governor Malloy’s leadership, Connecticut has fallen victim to massive tax increases. Businesses are leaving our state, taking with them job opportunities and economic development. Our education system, which was once one of the best, is also in deep trouble. Simply put: Connecticut is in a downward spiral and it’s time for us to demand effective leadership.

In December, I launched the Connecticut Comeback Committee to explore a run for statewide office in 2018. I believe we can return Connecticut to the place where we grew up: a place with low taxes, a place where children thrive in quality schools, and a place where businesses are allowed to flourish and grow.

We are in a strong position, but I need your help. The maximum contribution to our effort is $100. Your commitment is critical to our long-term success. I hope I can count on your support and investment in Connecticut’s comeback. You can contribute online by clicking here or you can return this contribution form to PO Box 2391, Danbury, CT, 06813.

There is a lot of work to be done, but because of the support of people like you, I am confident we can lay the groundwork for success in November 2018. It’s time to put our state, and our home, back on track. Together, we can lead Connecticut in the right direction for future generations. Thank you for all of your support.

Best,

Mark Boughton
