On a snowy winter day in New York a Delta Airlines Flight 1086 from Atlanta to LaGuardia is reported to have skidded off Runway 13’s left side, on the Northwest part of the airport, Thursday morning, March 5, 2015.

BREAKING NEWS NY: Plane Skids Off Runway at LaGuardia Airport, Crashes Into Fence
On a snowy winter day a Delta Airlines Flight 1086 from Atlanta to LaGuardia is reported to have skidded off Runway 13’s left side, on the Northwest part of the airport, Thursday morning, March 5, 2015. The incident happened about 11:00 a.m. on the North service road. The airplane was coming in for a landing at the time.
There were 125 passengers and 5 crew members. Passengers have been evacuated and officials are checking for a fuel leak, a fuel leak is suspected. EMS crews are on the scene. A few passengers suffered minor injures, but no word on all passengers so far.
New Jersey Port Authority first responders are on the scene. They are the major responders, FDNY is assisting.
The Port Authority provided buses to get passengers back to the terminal where they can be assessed for injuries and call loved ones.
LaGuardia airport was immediately shut down and there are no incoming or outgoing fights at the moment.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is looking into the cause of the crash, weather is a possible factor.
