Bethel’s Portofino Restaurant and Wine Bar is Temporarily Closed Due to Flooding Damage
Portofino’s Restaurant and Wine Bar located at 213 Greenwood Avenue in Dolan Plaza, Bethel, CT, suffered water damage and is now temporarily closed. There was a sprinkler system malfunction and flooding that *damaged walls and part of the bar.
Louie Selmanti, business co-owner with Rocco Selmanti, the said the business will be closed for at least two weeks while repairs are in process but they will be having a huge grand reopening soon.
A note was on the door that read “We Miss Portofino’s!” decorated in hearts and signed simply “Bethel” which pretty much sums up the feelings of many Bethel residents after seeing one of their their favorite restaurants/bars temporarily closed.
We hope to see the reopening soon!
Bethel Advocate will post the reopening date as soon as the date is set.
*They preferred no photos be taken of the damage at this time.
