PUBLIC NOTICE Pursuant to General Statutes Â§ 16-50l and Â§ 16-50l-1 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies, notice is hereby given that Florida Tower Partners LLC d/b/a North Atlantic Towers will file an application with the Connecticut Siting Council (“Council”). North Atlantic Towers will file an Application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need (“Application”) for the construction, maintenance and operation of a telecommunications facility (“Facility”) at one of two locations on an approximately 49 acre parcel of land located at 62/64 Codfish Hill Road, Bethel Connecticut, Map 65, Block 57, Lot 122 (“Property”). North Atlantic Towers will file the Application on or about March 19, 2015. The location, height and other features of the Facility are subject to review and change by the Council pursuant to General Statutes Â§ 16-50g et seq. The Applicant intends to file an application with the Council for the construction, maintenance and operation of a 150 foot wireless telecommunications tower facility and associated equipment in the easterly portion of the Property (“Site 1”) or a 170 foot wireless telecommunications tower facility and associated equipment in the central portion of the Property (“Site 2”). New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (“AT&T”) would be located at a centerline height of 146 feet at Site 1, or a centerline height of 166 feet at Site 2. Its equipment shelter and generator would be located within the 5,625 square foot compound near the base of the tower at either Site. A Facility at either location will accommodate the equipment of three other wireless carriers. The Town’s emergency services would also be able to locate equipment on the Facility to enhance the municipal emergency communications system. The Facility is being proposed to allow AT&T and other carriers to provide wireless services in this area of the state. The Facility would provide AT&T needed coverage to the eastern area of Bethel and the adjacent area of Newtown, including Codfish Hill Road, Dodgington Road, Putnam Park Road, Sugar Street, Wolfpits Road, Taunton Hill Road, Buckboard Ridge, Legend Drive, Plumtrees Road, Chestnut Ridge Road and the surrounding area. The Application will set forth the need, purpose and benefits of the Facility and will also describe the environmental impact, if any, of the Facility at either Site. North Atlantic Towers will conduct a balloon float at both Sites at the proposed heights of each Facility on the day of the public hearing on the Application, as scheduled by the Council. The Council will provide notice of the public hearing date. The Council will conduct that public hearing in Bethel. North Atlantic Towers will conduct the balloon float from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm or as otherwise set by the Council.
